Please note, if you have not yet met the full retirement age as defined by the 社会保障署(SSA), you can select I have temporarily left the workforce and unemployed as a place holder. This will need to be updated annually until you reach full retirement age.

Regular and all Associate member types may qualify for Temporarily Left the Workforce (TLW), status if (s)he is:

• Currently unemployed
• Currently providing full-time care to a loved one without compensation

Members who work part time will not be eligible for TLW unless the part-time work status is due to one of the reasons above.
